Marked "800" and what I believe is the date mark for Netherlands 1896. This buckle is typical of the Dutch manner of producing silver in the French style at that period of time (often the pieces were marked with French hallmarks) This is a beautifully cast and hand worked piece of heavy weight silver, well articulated with a lovely smooth finish. Excellent condition. $250.00
